A Clearer Vision is an independent mental health training and consultancy service set up and managed by Steph Jones-Giles. We have been in the business of delivering high quality training and consultancy services across the UK since 1st January 1999.

Introducing Steph

I have worked in the mental health field since 1991 both as a practitioner and trainer. I was very fortunate in the early years of my career to be in receipt of excellent training and supervision as a practitioner alongside the opportunity to co-train with a variety of well-respected trainers across a range of mental health related courses.

I became involved in delivery of City and Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Community Mental Health Care in 2000 and have worked at centres in Oxford, North Somerset and Plymouth as well as delivering this award through my own City and Guilds centre.

I have examined for City and Guilds for many years and in 2008 was appointed as Chief Examiner for this award. I also undertake various consultancy activities for C&G across a range of qualifications.

I have written a module of the Richmond Fellowship Diploma in Community Mental Health Care (accredited by Middlesex University) and contributed to the course materials of several units within the Level 3 Certificate in Community Mental Health Care.

I am a qualified teacher (PGCE – Post Compulsory Education) and member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. I have full professional indemnity and public liability insurance up to 2 million pounds.

My teaching and writing is informed by my professional and personal experiences of mental distress. There just isn't room to describe all of these here but I am more than happy to give you fuller details on request.
